Who Determines The Baby Gender
If you as future parents want to try and increase the chances of having a boy or girl, it literally boils down to how you do it. The question that arises frequently is ‘Who and what determines the gender of a baby?’
There is no 100% guarantee that you can select the gender of your baby, but there are specific positions that you may try which will increase the likelihood of choosing the gender of your child.
This does work for a variety of reasons, but is based on the fact that the two kinds of chromosomes that are responsible for the selection of your baby’s gender are carried by sperm that are very different. It is the Y chromosome that is responsible for conceiving a boy baby.
The sperm that carry the Y chromosomes are tiny, very quick and able to cover the distance to the egg very rapidly. The only downside to these sperm is the fact that they don’t live very long and if they have to swim very far to the destination of the egg they will not be able to complete their ‘journey’ successfully.
The X chromosome sperm are responsible for conceiving a girl baby. They are much larger in size and move quite a bit slower. However, they do live a lot longer and have more endurance when it comes to reaching the egg.
This is what your must know when it comes to choosing positions to ensure gender choice:
Boy Conceive:
The Y sperm (boy), needs a little extra help in reaching their desired destination before they expire, a position that secures deep penetration is essential. The ultimate goal here is to have the man orgasm as closely as possible to the neck of the cervix. This will reduce the amount of time spent while trying to get to the egg. A good position to allow this to occur would be woman on top as well as its other variation, which is called Reverse Cowgirl.
In this position the man can control how deeply he penetrates her and at the moment of orgasm, the woman should allow the man inside her as deeply as possible. There are a few other good positions as well, but the most important thing to remember is the depth of penetration at the moment of orgasm. You will more like have a boy in these instances.
Girl Conceive:
If your gender choice of your baby is a girl, then the proper positions involve much shallower penetration. The X (girl) sperm are much more durable, lives longer than the Y sperm and requires a bit more time to reach the egg, allowing the Y sperm to die off before they get there. To make this possible, the man should orgasm as far away from the neck of the cervix as possible.
The positions for shallow penetration include the lotus position where the couple wrap their legs around each other while sitting. This position does not allow for deep penetration and the desired result of increasing the likelihood of having a girl can then be achieved.

There is just one more thing you must remember when choosing a position for gender selection and who determines the gender of your baby: If your choice is a boy baby then it is important that the woman orgasms before the man. This will change the PH near the woman’s cervix and makes it more hospitable to the Y sperm. The opposite of the above will apply if your want to conceive a girl.
