What Determines The Baby Gender
What determines the gender of a baby?
Isn’t it amazing how some couples just have luck on their side when it comes to conceiving the correct gender of their child? While there are others who wait patiently and hope that their first or next baby will be the child they always dreamed of.
You may also have asked this question many times before: What determines the gender of a baby? There are many factors that will affect your successfull conception, and understanding some basic things will make your journey easier.
If you now find yourself in the situation trying to conceive for the child of your choice, here are a few things to apply and keep in mind:
1) Know Your Monthly Cycle. If you are trying to become pregnant, then you have to understand how your monthly menstrual cycle works, as this will highly increase your chances of becoming pregnant. Each and every woman is different and therefore each cycle is different.
Chart your cycle a few months before you conceive, do this from the beginning to the end. Make note of the first day of your
menstruation/period and when you ovulate. This is important as it will help you to determine when you are most fertile and best time to schedule intercourse in. Take advantage of this time as it is the window of opportunity.
2) Predict Your Monthly Ovulation. To take advantage of your most fertile time, you must know whn you ovulate. Within each of your cycles, there is a period of five days that you are at your most fertile. These are the three days before ovulation and the day after ovulation.
To understand what determines the gender of a baby, you have to know what influences the sex of your future baby. There are two types of sperm, one which carries the Y Chromosome (Boy) and once which carries the X chromosome (Girl).
The Boy sperm are much quicker than the girl sperm and will outswim them to reach the egg quicker. But on the other hand they do not live as long as the Girl sperm. The X Girl sperm is slower, lives longer and is more resilient than the Y Boy sperm.
So in order to conceive a boy child, it is important to get into the right position during intercourse. Positions which allows for deep penetration is ideal for the Y chromosome as the male orgasms very close to the cervix. This allows a shorter distance for the fast swimmers Y Sperm to reach the egg quicker than their counterpart, Girl sperm.
If you want to conceive a girl child then positions that allow for shallow penetration will be advantageous as they live longer, swims slower and are also larger in size than the Boy sperm. So, the further away the male orgasm from the cervix, the greater the chances for the girl sperm to reach the egg for fertilization.
3) Begin with minor changes to your daily diet. In order to be your most fertile you must start taking good care of yourself. You can start by taking prenatal vitamins before conception.
If you have noticed any irregularities about your monthly cycle, it is advisable to talk to a professional about it and have all your questions answered.
Get plenty of rest and practice a healthy lifestyle. Remove stress from your life and take good care of your body.
