Can You Determine Baby Gender?

Nowadays, there are so many debates as to how ethical it is to choose the gender of your child and when can you determine the gender of your baby. For those who believe it is unethical, there are some completely natural methods that you can use which will increase your chances greatly of having the baby of your gender choice.

The ethics of this sensitive matter is up to you, the parent and you must understand that no method is 100% accurate, but there are a few things you can try that will help you increase your chances of having either your little boy or little girl you have always wanted.

To understand these methods, you have to understand that it is centred on the fact that the male sperm which carry Y chromosomes, which are necessary for a boy) are very different from the sperm that carry the X chromosome (which are necessary for a girl).

If you understand these differences and choose the right methods, you will create an environment where one type of sperm can outshine the other and reach the main destination first. It’s all about which one is the fastest. Let’s take a look at what you can do and when can you determine the gender of your baby:

Follow the correct Diet.

The y sperm (boy), requires an environment that is alkali in nature, while the X Sperm (girl), requires more acid. The PH balance of your body is important and will determine how thick the cervical discharge is and whether or not the desired sperm will be able to get through it successfully.  So, if you want to have a boy baby follow a diet which is rich in potassium and sodium and if you desire a girl baby, then follow a diet that is rich in calcium and magnesium. Follow the above steps prior to conception.

The Right Time:

The timing of intercourse can greatly influence the gender of your child. Because the Y sperm (Boy baby) need to reach the egg as quickly as possible, it will be necessary to time your intercourse to the day that you ovulate. The Y sperm will then be able to reach the egg while it is still fertile. This will greatly increase your chances of having a boy baby.

On the other hand, if you want to have a girl baby, you will need to give the Y (boy) sperm time to die off, which will leave the more durable X (Girl) sperm behind. This now means that you will need to time intercourse to about two to three days before ovulation, which will give the X sperm more than enough time to reach the egg.

The Right Position:

The position you choose for intercourse can also determine the sex of your child. This is where the differences between the sperm come back again. The Y (boy) sperm need to reach their destination in a very short time as possible, which means they have to be released as close to the cervix as possible, which shortens the trip, they must take to the egg. That is why positions that allow for deep penetration will be ideal for a baby boy.

In order to have a girl baby, you need to make it more difficult for the Y sperm to reach their target on time.  This means that positions where shallow penetration is achieved are necessary. The sperm will be deposited further away from the cervix, which gives the X sperm the chance they need to reach the egg and allowing Y sperm to die off.
